Hundreds of thousands of years ago our ancestors were the first ones who ate a crepe, although, they contained the simplest ingredients of flour and water which were combined to be cook over a hot stone. The crepe, as we know it nowadays, was eaten for its first time in Bretagne, France right after the crusades as this historical event, apart from its political importance, created different trade routes where the buckwheat began to be commercialized in Europe. Over time, the crepe recipe suddenly spread through Europe and the entire world where it began to evolve as it was mixed with different ingredients and served each time with new toppings.
